Art Camp for Kids
Date: June 18th - 22nd
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Ages: 6 -12.
Cost: $95

Campers will explore different media to create works of art.

Day 1: - Using colored paper shapes campers will create a montage – i.e. people, animals, buildings.

Day 2: - Using paint campers will make an animal from clay pots.

Day 3: - Using bisque fired clay pieces students can paint a scene, animal, or use stamps to decorate the clay piece.

Day 4: - Using concrete and recyclables campers will create garden art.

Day 5: - Weather permitting campers will explore the fenced in area of the center for inspiration and use what they discover to create a textured/recyclable art piece.

Mystery Build Camp for Kids - June
Date: June 25th - 29th
Time: 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
Ages: 6 -12.
Cost: $125 - includes kit and a Mystery Build t-shirt

Campers will get to meet the minds behind Mystery Build and get a few pointers and how-to's to get them started.

Mystery Build is an art challenge developed by two artists to inspire creativity. They were featured on WRAL-TV and cash prizes are awarded.

Here's how it works:

• Purchase a Mystery Build Materials Kit.
• Create a work of art using ONLY the materials in the Kit, around the contest's Theme : Your Favorite Movie.
• Upload photos or videos of your creation to mysterybuild.com ...more

The Eye of the Eagle Art is sponsoring a Mystery Build Challenge for kids. "Invent an Animal" for ages 6 - 13.

Judging will be at the Eye of the Eagle Art Center and art pieces will be judged by local well known artists with cash prizes awarded.

Mystery Build is also having a National Contest for kids and our young artists will be able to enter their piece in that event as well. So, they will have two chances to win. Check back for more information on MB National Kids Contents!
